Art has always been part of my life - at about the age of four, I would draw whenever I was forced to sit still for very long. When I finally was able to take art as an elective in high school, I was thrilled. Art education and elementary education were my majors in college - I never had the opportunity to teach art, but did teach on the elementary level for my entire career.

When I moved to Colorado in the 70's a friend talked me into taking oil painting classes with her, and I painted steadily for two years and then stopped when I moved back to Texas. Now after 30+ years my artist friend, Regina Burchett has motivated me to start painting again. She invited me to her studio and introduced me to pastels, which I love!
